Zumtobel Group Award for Sustainability and Humanity in the Built Environment
Roden Crater, Arizona
At company level, the Zumtobel Group inaugurated the "Zumtobel Group Award for Sustainability and Humanity in the Built Environment" in 2007 as part of its sustainability engagement. This architecture prize under the stewardship of the Aedes Architecture Forum in Berlin honours sustainable solutions that help signpost a more liveable future in architecture and in engineering. The award including total prize money of EUR 140,000 will be bestowed for the third time in 2012. A public call for submissions was organised for the first time in autumn 2011 for this year’s award; 230 architecture firms, research institutes and schemes responded and submitted their projects.

2012 Group Award winners have been chosen. The award presentation ceremony will take place in November 2012 in Berlin.
